The board has been converted to PHPBB3.

Some functions (PSL related) may not be working.

Please report any issues in the phpbb3_issues forum that has been created temporarily for this purpose.

Thank You,

CEO/Snicker7

I like the slick new layout. The only unrelated forum issues I've found is that the downloads are no longer available. Hopefully it hasn't caused to much of a hassle.

Um, that was on the old board too...

Just curious, how do you know who isn't online?? You mean everyone who shows online means all the other 29000+ are not online? lol... Actually, that's not entirely true either, as some users (mods mostly) can hide their online status. :)

By "isn't", I think he meant "isn't logged into easyuo.com". I've never seen more than a handful counted under the hidden category; so are some users stealthed from even showing up in that count? Pretty sure the guests count is just the number of unique IPs hitting the site in a time interval w/o logging in. What always amazes me is the number of bot registrations taking place; almost like the site is being employed as a covert low baud rate communication side channel...

24 users online :: 10 registered, 0 hidden and 14 guests

I think the bot's are counted under guests.

I dont think so... They show up in the threadview at the bottom as
Quote:
Who is online
Users browsing this forum: chloe visolara, Orngrimm, [bot] Google adsense and 0 guests
so i think they count as registred

Apparently (my) bbcode is disabled only on this forum(?)

Anyway, right Orn, the (known) search engine bots show up as users and unknown ones would presumably be counted among the guests. However what I was referencing is the constant stream of newly registered user accounts whose names appear (at least to me) to be algorithmically generated and which never have any posts. Only you admins would know enough about their on-site interaction to determine whether they are lurkers or visitors w/ some more unusual purpose.

The captcha check and the RBL/spammer modes stops pretty much all the bot-spammer. The block log grows to over 10,000 entries in a 24 hour period. We've always had a steady stream of registered users, but never really posting. Compared to actually UO players it's probably a comparable amount.

I'll check the bbcodes, it should be allowed...
