Same concept, still needs to search server for the old ones.

Hrm. Would need to mass-delete the OLD stones to implement this, though. :/

I thought I let you know about this already.. Warlocke and I spoke in game a few nights ago and he was considering an item which I told you all about.. that checks the players tag Finds old stones or replaces what ones are missing.. OR if the player doesn't have the Tag.. it blows them up..

I know I told ya already Paladin.. :P And I swear I mentioned that Warlocke needed Time to do it :P

Whoa! Becareful going there.. :( That's starting to sound like PlayerMobile.cs manipulation!! Omg I hate touching playermobile.. that's like massive problems if 1 thing goes wrong it complete server wipe. :S

Have you tested the ability to use

global revome where soulstone Account=m.Account

That's a command, not actual code (afaik) - and to my knowledge, its SLOW with several hundred thousand items. What i'm talking about is instead of the current situation:

Account tag:
Soulstoned=1

We change it to this:
Soulstoned=1
Stone1=(serial of first stone)
Stone2=(serial of second stone)

So when a user requests replacement stones, it can just check their account tags and see if those items still exist, and replace them if not.

The problem here is that we'd need a way to deal with the CURRENT soulstone-bearers 'cause they currently may or may not have their stones intact, have skills on those stones, etc.

Currently I'm thinking of switching to this new system and doing an initial "bandaid" update function to find & tag accounts w/ their soulstone references.

I just don't friggin have TIME for it, tho!

WL, if it's to be done at all, that's the best method I see...
When player gets the soulstones it not only tag the account with soulstoned (true), it tag the the account with the ID of said soulstones so that when and if a user does lose/misplace the soulstone and requests a new one from the Mystic then the Mystic would 1) delete previous soulstones on that account 2) assign a new set.

No searching... ;)

Now get back to work on that NaNo project WL... and Good Luck to ya again!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I've strictly banned myself from even touching the code this month. I just muse on possible problem solutions while I'm at work - it's up to the other guys to actually implement the stuff (if at all) ;)

why not get rid of the stones themselves and put it on a command popup.. lol can't lose a gump ya know :D

yeah no one can steal it.. it can't decay.. but I think the issue with a command popup is nothing to tag with the skill...

The Stone allows all players from [account] to access... and holds the tag for which skill and what amount.. when ya get rid of the stone you lose the item that's tagged.. unless it references something like a global stone in GA.. Which would be tagged: Account:Skill:Amount

rk said he would replace any that were lost before his hotfix, i've seen him send sysmsg several times lately stating such on the server as well

I've replaced at least 2 peeps per day for about 5 days now... who KNEW there were so many nobulators???
