Nope.
But funny, really: Just yesterday, I was researching a custom made-approach for shallow detection of Aluminum with a special coil-geometry. I will use a small microprocessor and measure the de-tuning of a oscillator-circuit.

I use a XRF labX-3500 to detect Aluminium levels in underarm Anti-perspirant sticks.

Bot or not, I do like metal detecting. Used to be my hobby for a while a few years ago. It's pretty fun, you get to go outside and hunt for treasure (at least that's what I used to tell myself).
