Greetings. After discussion with WarLocke, I have boosted the Loot from fishing up Message-In-Bottles or SOS.

Previously the max gold was 1000 /2000/3000 depending on the chest, that is now doubled. ADDITIONALLY, and much more important, I have boosted the max intensity possible for ALL loot items in the chests to the max. This now matches the following systems:
--TreasureChests, dungeon and city spawning
--TreasureChests, from Maps
--Instanced Theft System loot
--All loot generated on mobiles

I am currently addressing the low spawn-rate of Sea Serpents and the MIB/Nets they give. I will be boosting this to approach EA standard, and will watch it for balance a bit before finalizing the number higher. You should expect however...

We're taking some stats right now, RK, and should have some good hard numbers for you tonight from Alex.

If you like, we can do the same thing Wednesday on OSI if you're interested (Tomorrow's the wife's birthday, and I *know* better than to try and play on THAT day..) :) But we do fish 5-6 hours a day (with 2 accounts), so it's pretty easy to put together some good stats. (If you're interested, that is).

Well I just want to make sure, don't want to step on any toes. :)

From first blush, serpent spawn seems to be up a bit, but MIB production is still low.. Only 2 in an hour (with both of us fishing), but that could be the RNG.. We're going to run stats for at least 3-4 hours before compiling them.

{Edit: After reading RK's initial message, he may not have adjusted the spawn rates yet}.

Nets - 9 (4.5 per hour, 2.25 per character per hour)

Big Fish - 6 (3 per hour, 1.5 per character per hour)
Regular Serps - 18 (9 per hour, 4.5 per character per hour)
Deep Sea Serps - 5 (2.5 per hour, 1.25 per character per hour)

I won't be able to take stats from OSI until Wednesday, as I said, but I do want to *explicitly* point out that I am in no way advocating a bump of rewards to current OSI levels -- the numbers will be for comparison purposes only. It's already established that gold is worth "more" here than on OSI shards, and with RK already bumping up the amount of gold in each chest, that has already effectively doubled the rate of Maps & MIBs above (not loot, just gold.. Unless you also doubled the amount of spawned items in each chest, RK?)

Anyway, more numbers Wednesday night. :) 2 hours, same time frame, 7:30pm - 9:30pm local time.

Hi,
GM'd a couple of fisherman on OSI, but that was some time ago, so I think I need some help on Alexandria. When I am going slow forward in my boat and fishing I keep getting this message that I need to be closer to the water to fish. When I stop the boat, its OK. Sorry if this in the wrong forum, but this thread got me all amped up.

RK and I have been working on bumping spawn rates and adding quite a few new features to fishing that everyone will be sure to enjoy (myself included =) check back here for updates.

Additional Fishing Changes
In addition to the improved loot inside the TreasureChests (see all above), I have made the following fishing changes (thx also to Snicker for putzing thru the syntax and calculations with me!):

1. I have increased the POTENTIAL rate of sea serpents about x5 or so. So that peeps won't have to fish and calculate rough stats, here they are:
--at GM fishing, potential of 20 sea serpents /deep serps per hour with constant fishing, no break for killing.
-- 70% will have MIBs, 20% special nets, and 10% treasure maps

2. I have boosted the rewards for fishing in Felucca over and above the above:
--Sea Serpent spawn rates (with MIB/maps/nets on them) * 1.5 (50% higher rate)
-- in Felucca, there is a 25% chance that a treasure map will be Level 2
-- 5% of all sea serpents that spawn will be PARAGONS, with all that entails. ADDITIONALLY, these special serps will ALWAYS have a special colored fishing net. Plus they have a neat name and matching hue!
>> there is a 5% chance on these paragon serps to get a special reward/artifact. Still working on these, but one will be a sea-serpent statue, another will be a FamedPole, and snicker want's to add a PearlNecklace. In fact the last two were his idea, I may need to review that...

3. Previously, ALL treasure chests contained a specialfishing net. Now I have corrected it to OSI standard, 33% will have the net.

4. Expect a few additional artifacts on the special paragon-serps. And maybe some anti-UM spawn to pop up every once in a while while fishing Trammel too, water eles etc., though not as hard as the paragons.

This should really be a great boost for folks. Expect I may tweak these numbers up/down once I see what the Lexia fisherfolk are able to pull for stats.
