er - I just joined up
But I'm not working on the Cancer Project (which is looking at Leukemia rather than all Cancers as the whole concept of ligands is related to suluble chemicals that bind and become non-soluble and therefore more readily attackable byt the bodies defenses) but it seems I'm working on the other project which is looking at Proteomes - I think that is a much broader topic and initially would be very "shotgun while blind" approach - still every little helps...

And mine will be a little - my pc isn't on all the time ( I work at home and presently don't have private PC on at the same time - that will change soon ). And I won't be setting it up on my work PC as I just won't put outside stuff on it (just my personal policy which I've had since 1988 so it ain't changing :) ).

Is it right that Europe does more UD time than the USA - wow! shocker!

Welcome to the team - If you log in, you can set yourself to only do the Cancer project.

Remember, it's not an e-peen contest. Everyone contributes what we can in hopes of helping some people out.

Thanks for joining. :)

First: Congratullations CEO for your 20 Years of CPU-time since mid september 2003! WOW!
In those 20 years he crunched over 23'000 Workunits!
Thats 7.8h / Workunit...
Not bad at all! :)

Second: Unfortunately, i also have to announce the retirement of ma$$acre from this project.
He made 3'861 Units worth over 1 mio points total and accumulated around 5.5 years pf CPU-time!
Thank you for your effort in fighting cancer! :)
(he is still number 3 in our Team-ranking, close followed by greenyEUO :D)

I am considering moving this project to WCG - it's the same software, they've just added a cancer project, and there are Mac and Linux clients as well as the usual Windows.

Any thoughts?

I gave up on the grid. After those hardware failures that then required you to relogin pretty much dumped my network of 20+ computers. It would also be nice of you could specify the maximum amount of CPU to use, even when in screensaver mode, I didn't like my CPU running at 100% and my fans kicking in to higher speeds. :x
