Hi folks. This is a summary of significant taming diffs for the shard.

First off, I have made a massive update for my UltraTamer. Version 6.3 (last published was 5.6 I think). Totally freeshard auto-adjusting. Here are my results:
Made new char, 50 taming/50 magery. Ran UltraTamer 6.3 for 22 hours.
100 taming
100 animal lore (got that in 3 hours)
100 music (10 hours)
59.7 peacemaking (10 hours, ran out of instruments and didn't get more,I expect peace would be around 90 if I had)
27 vet (bought it there, didn't use the "steed kill...vet pet" option which would have raised it. Usually this goes to 95 or so while GMing taming)

Here are the interesting things on taming for Lexia:
1. when you attack things with your pet, there is still a high chance it will attack YOU instead of your pet. We are working on this bug, it is clearly a showstopper for fighting with pets.
2. When you tame and release things, they auto-dissappear in about 30 sec. this means you DON'T have to actually take the time to kill them!
3. The pets respond to commands with their original name! (like OSI used to be...), which means you can go "a horse release", which means you DON'T HAVE TO RENAME THEM :)
4. When you verbally release the pet like this, you get a confirmation gump asking if you're sure. You have to click it.

Allll of this is in the new UltraTamer. It autodetects if you're on a freeshard, it asks you a few interview questions to determine if these above behaviour exist on your shard, and it autosets all the variables properly for massively fast taming/releasing.

I have not published the script, we had an attachment problem which deleted the older one... Those of you with something to offer can PM me :)

you mind posting the areas in which you used the script to get the best gains?

Two spots only, though I think it would be quicker using others: any spawning stable area (I used skara), and at around 70 I moved to Delucia and tamed Great Harts, and at 85 I addedbulls, and at hmm, 90 I removed harts.

However, in the 70's range to about 80, grizzly bears are better, and I added the grizzly spawn into the ilshenar spirituality woods that should be there. Also checked and there are about 25 grizzly spawners around, some with just nice woods critters. The moonglow zoo area is great for bears, which are better than horses at 60. At 75 white wolves are great, and they are all over ice, and at 95 ridgebacks are decent.

I added harts, bulls, bears, etc. to Trinsic barrier island, it would be a good single spot place also.

Fighting with pets is simple, just be farther away from the enemy than your pet.

roadkill's script is great. I used 2 spots ice and trinsic. ice island took me up to about 85, then I went to trinsic barrier island and tamed bulls and harts. took me there to 100 in about 10 hours . . i think ^^ now i just need a PS . . .

I used the script on semi-auto, and it worked very well. Only problem I have is that when it asked how I wanted to kill the animals, it still says my magery "suckith". :( My magery is GM, I think the script just likes to taunt me.

Great script RK.

using spawn stable in skara, iceisle, delucia, and barrierisle.

gm tame in a hair over 20 hours

gm lore in like he said about 3 hours

didnt opt for music but if it was par for the corse than it would have been some extreemly low number as well.

all in all its freakin amazin' d/l it! use it! rate it!

roadkill...kudos

thx much :)

myserly:
chooseskill eval
if #skill > 800
set %eval_enabled #true
if %magery_enabled = #true && %eval_enabled = #true
set %use_mage_spell #true

is inside sub Skillcheck-- as you can see I take a look at both magery and eval. Then when you choose how to kill, I check all these skills (necro, magery, eval, lore, taming, vet etc... ). It's just a sanity check because I got so many stuuuuupid complaints like : "I am 35 taming and I am trying to tame dire wolves and when I steedkill them with my horse he dies, WTF?" you know.... so long as you're happy, just ignore the msg :)

Here is the check for magery later:
IF %killmethod = KillMagery && ! %use_mage_spell
DISPLAY OK You might want to re-think using Magery, your skillz sucketh!$

HOWEVER, if you would choose to use MB, that spell I believe alone does NOT check eval when used PVM, and would still function ok...however it is all COLD damage, so be sure you're not using it against like a frost troll or something...
good luck
